The ballet "Carmen" is based on an opera called the same way. The libretto was written by Henri Meilhac and Ludovic Halévy, based, at the time, on a novela called "Carmen" too, written by Prosper Mérimée.
The opera has musical numbers that are separated by dialogues. It tells the story of the downfall of Don José, a naïve soldier who is seduced by the wiles of the fiery Gypsy, Carmen. José abandons his childhood sweetheart and deserts from his military duties, yet loses Carmen's love to the glamorous toreador Escamillo, after which José kills her in a jealous rage. It were reproduce by the first time on Paris 3 March 1875.
The depictions of proletarian life, immorality and lawlessness, and the tragic death of the main character on stage, broke new ground in French opera and were highly controversial. The opera were reproduced the first time in Paris, March 3rd, 1875. The opera were not revived in Paris until 1883. After that it became the most frequently performed operas.
The music of Carmen has been widely acclaimed for its brilliance of melody, harmony, atmosphere and orchestration, and for the skill with which Bizet musically represented the emotions and suffering of his characters.
It's a great opera and ballet. It will performed on Santiago this saturday August 31st, 2013 on the Teatro Municipal as a ballet. It seems promissing.

How sports can change someones life?
Playing sports is like a way out of everything, you forget your problems and can concentrate on something else that makes you feel better. Play any sport is take care of your life in a better way. Any sport makes you to get a better lifestyle, appreciate all the sacrifice that other people, who do it professionaly, need to do to get where they are.
If you dedicate time to it and effort to do it, you can become an imporant person on that. Play sports isn't easy, you should do your best and give everything that you can to get far, but you'll feel more comfortable with yourself.
Also, it's so gratifying to do something right, be successful, and be an example to someone else, a referent. If you do some sport that you like, you'll do everything to do it right, give your best and be happy with it, and if you made a mistake, you will keep going and try it again.
If you practice a sport, anyone can ensure that you'll be successful or known, but you will do something for yourself, and you will get a better lifestyle, and be an example for next generations.

Changes...
Hello! Well, this vacations were amazing! I really enjoyed it. The Valparaiso trip was really awesome, I had a lot of fun sharing time with all my friends and classmates of the university. After that trip, I went to Pucón with my mother, my step pather, my brother, my grandma, and some friends and Andrés, my step-pather's, family. In the south of Chile, you can see a lot of beatiful things, a lot of trees, animals, nature! Beautiful natural landscapes, and great people accompanied me there. When I returned to Santiago, the only thing I wanted to do was see my boyfriend, I missed him so much... When I saw him I couldn't even say Hi, I only could hug him and kiss him...
My first day of school was awkward, it's so rare to get there, enter to your classroom but see that everything changed, there's not the people you wanted to see, 'cause they are in other classroom, with other people, I can't get used to it yet, it's sad don't have the people you wanted arround you, we can see each other at breaks, but it's not the same, but I have to use to it, 'cause thing always change. Always...

It was a beautiful experience that I wil cherish. I am be very grateful of have been a part of that.

ALMA proyect: Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array
The ALMA science complex, when fully complete in March, will feature 66 high-precision antennae that will explore the universe from the plateau of Chajnantor, located 5,000 meters above sea level in Northern Chile, 34 km outside of San Pedro de Atacama.
Once operating at its full capacity in late 2013, ALMA will have 100 times more sensitivity and spectral resolution than its predecessors in the millimeter/submillimeter field. In fact, even while only operating at 25 percent of its full capacity, ALMA has already been used to make significant discoveries, including the finding of sugar molecules in a distant star similar to our sun.
This unprecedented project, which involves the collaboration of 20 countries in Europe, North America and Asia, signifies a new era for astronomy research. Scientists will be able to see darker, colder, and denser regions of the cosmos thanks to ALMA’s powerful antenna array. ALMA’s 66 antennae act as a single telescope with a 16 km diameter.
This will be a huge opportunity for this country to be known and recognized for something good and important in the world.

The good, the bad and the learned of 2012
A) Good things about last year:
Last year I met many people who helped me a lot to grow as a person and taught me how to live in a better way. I got an english scholarchip at Alberto Hurtado's University. Last year for my birthday I met a guy who was really nice with me, his name is Diego. With time he started to be one of the most important persons in my life and now we have been in a relationship for a month. Past year I realized that I have great friends that I can trust and count on them because they will always be there for me.
B) Bad things about last year:
Last year I almost lose one of the most important things that I have, I almost moved from my high school, because I made many mistakes. My great-grandmother past away on july, two wicks after her birthday. On dicember 3rd, my grandfather marked a year since he died. I lose a great friend because she betrayed me, she said things she should not say to people that sould not know. My family almost goes apart and I had a lot of problems, but all of them are solvable. And I realized that not everyone who says that is your friend it is really.
C)What I learned about 2012:
I learned that not everyone is who they say they are, I realized that not everyone it is there when you need them, but who really is there worth fighting. I learned that family is one of the most important things that you can be part of and you must fight to keep it together. God always have to be the most important in your life, without him you are nothing. You have to be yourself, do not pretend to be someone else, because you are not going anywhere that way. Now my philosophy of life is: Love, laugh, enjoy, be happy.
D)What I realized I still need to learn:
I still need to learn about life, I'm just starting, I still need to learn about how to do things right, and to don't mess it up. I still need to learn a lot of the thing that teachers teaches at school and university, I still need to learn how to be the person I want to be and keep close the people I really love.
